Some photo sessions feel less like work and more like spending an evening with friends.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming faith-based content creators Trinity Grace True and Brett True to Farmettes Photo Studio in Lakeland, Florida, for a family session with their sweet little boy. Known for sharing their love of faith, family, and intentional living online, they were instantly drawn to the peaceful Southern charm that makes Farmettes so special.

From the moment they arrived, their vision matched the atmosphere of the studio perfectly—a relaxed evening filled with laughter, genuine connection, and timeless family moments.

A Studio That Felt Like Home

One of the things Trinity mentioned loving most about Farmettes was its authentic country feel. Instead of busy city backdrops or crowded parks, Farmettes offers open spaces, rustic details, and cozy studio sets that allow families to simply enjoy being together.

For their 50-minute session, we planned two outfit changes and explored two of our most popular locations:

  • The Boho Loft
  • The Open Field

Each space offered a completely different look while still maintaining the warm, natural aesthetic they were hoping for.

Cozy Moments Inside the Boho Loft

The session began inside the Boho Loft, where the family embraced a relaxed, neutral color palette.

Trinity wore a soft brown gingham dress with puff sleeves that complemented the warm wood tones throughout the space.

Brett paired a charcoal button-up shirt with distressed light-wash jeans for a casual, effortless look, while their little Izzy added a playful touch with western-inspired pants and an oversized belt buckle.

The atmosphere inside the loft felt intimate and inviting. Rather than focusing on perfectly posed portraits, we encouraged natural interaction—sharing laughs, cuddling together, and simply enjoying the moment as a family.

Some of the sweetest images came from the candid moments, especially watching their son laugh uncontrollably while surrounded by his parents' smiles.

Those genuine expressions are often the memories families treasure the most.

Golden Hour in the Open Field

After changing outfits, we headed outside into the Open Field as the evening light softened.

The second wardrobe brought even more Southern charm.

Trinity wore a flowing floral dress with delicate yellow blooms that caught the golden light beautifully. Brett embraced the country aesthetic with a light yellow button-up shirt and a classic cream cowboy hat, creating a timeless look that perfectly matched the landscape. Their son completed the look with a simple white shirt and western-inspired details, making the entire family feel effortlessly coordinated without appearing overly matched.

The Open Field gave the session an entirely different energy.

Instead of sitting together, they played.

They laughed.

They tossed their son into the air, chased him through the grass, and soaked in every joyful moment together.

These are the kinds of photographs that become family heirlooms—not because everyone is looking at the camera, but because they capture what life actually feels like.
