A Romantic Proposal at The Ringling Museum of Art | Bryce & Emmy


Some love stories begin in the most unexpected ways.


For Bryce and Emmy, it all started because of their parents. Emmy's mom, a doctor in Virginia, happened to care for Bryce. As their parents got to know one another, they thought the two should meet. Despite living in different states—Bryce in upstate New York and Emmy in Virginia—they were introduced, and the connection was undeniable.


Three years later, they had built a life together in Charleston, South Carolina, and Bryce knew it was time for the next chapter.


To celebrate their third anniversary on July 1, 2026, the couple planned a trip to Florida. Emmy thought they were simply enjoying a romantic getaway, but Bryce had a much bigger surprise in store. After finding Era Evolve Media through Airbnb, he secretly planned the perfect proposal at the breathtaking John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota.

When the day finally arrived, Bryce's nerves were impossible to hide. His cheeks were bright red, though we easily blamed the Florida heat and humidity. Emmy, completely unaware of what was about to happen, had thoughtfully coordinated their outfits for the occasion. Bryce wore a soft blue knit polo with light khaki pants, while Emmy looked stunning in a blue-and-white striped dress accented with a delicate rope belt.


We began exploring the museum grounds, making our way toward the iconic Ca' d'Zan Mansion. Sarasota Bay shimmered in the afternoon sun as gentle waves rolled onto the shoreline. One of the Ringling Museum's most captivating features is its incredible Mediterranean Revival architecture, and we intentionally incorporated those timeless details throughout their photo gallery.

Eventually, we wandered beneath the shade of the museum's towering banyan trees. The quiet path created the perfect moment.


Bryce took one deep breath.


While Emmy admired the beauty of the mansion behind her, Bryce quietly stepped into position and dropped to one knee. Camera in hand, I captured every second as she remained completely unaware.

Then she turned around.


There was Bryce—the man she had loved for the past three years—holding a small black ring box with a sparkling diamond inside.


"Will you marry me?" he asked.


Overcome with emotion, Emmy rushed toward him, wrapping him in a hug before sharing a heartfelt kiss. Through happy tears came the answer he had been waiting for:



"Yes."
